This privacy notice discloses the privacy practices for JJ Smith Properties LLC. This privacy notice applies solely to information collected in person or our website. It will notify you of the following:

As part of approving and maintaining you for a tenant we need to collect and verify personal data for anyone over the age of 18 who is applying for a rental space with us.  This information may include but is not limited to social security number, date of birth, previous and current addresses, employers, criminal record and credit information.  

 

We are the sole owners of the information collected. We only have access to/collect information that you voluntarily give us via paper application, email or other direct contact from you. We will not sell or rent this information to anyone. 

 

We will send personally-identifiable information about you to other companies or people: 1) when we have your consent to share the information; 2) when we need to share your information with third parties, such as a background or credit check company; 3) it is appropriate to comply with law. 

 

In the event that a property is sold that a tenant resides in, current tenant information for that property may be one of the transferred assets.

Security 

 

We take precautions to protect your information. When you submit sensitive information via our website or by paper application, your information is protected both online and offline. Wherever we collect sensitive information online, that information is encrypted and transmitted to us in a secure way. You can verify this by looking for a lock icon in the address bar and looking for "https" at the beginning of the address of the Web page.

While we use encryption to protect sensitive information transmitted online, we also protect your information offline. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job are granted access to personally identifiable information. The computers/servers in which we store personally identifiable information are kept in a secure environment.

 

JJ Smith Properties LLC reserves the right to modify or amend this Privacy Policy at any time and for any reason. If there are material changes to this statement or in how we will use personally-identifiable information, we will post notice on our website www.jjsmithproperties.com or send a copy of the updates to current tenants via email or first-class US postal mail prior to implementing the change. The amended Terms shall automatically become effective immediately after they are posted. Your continued use of the site after the posting of the amended Terms on the site constitutes your affirmative: (a) acknowledgment of the terms and its modifications; and (b) agreement to abide and be bound by the terms, as amended.
